“Thank you for the invitation to be there. I must say that, that was one of the best Father's Day that I have ever had. I really enjoyed being there with so many bright and intelligent young people. I tried to avoid talking about all of my brothers and sisters that are named on the wall. Everytime I talk about the wall, I get very emotional, and I didn't want to cry in front of all of you.  If writing to my congressman will help in your effort to get some kind of cooperation from the government, please let me know the details and I will get others to do the same thing.  Please keep me informed of anything I can do to help, also let me know if you all take donations so that I can contribute.”

“I just want to express my great thanks for inviting Vietnam Veterans of America  (V V A) members to your warm and moving ceremony.  I spoke to quite a few members in your group and thoroughly enjoyed everyone I talked to.  Because your group is such a great and dedicated group of people, I would like there to be more interaction between VVA and AIV. After the meeting at the Wall, I spoke to Tara Leaman (great person) and suggested that I might be able help your group in some ways.  At the Wall, I spoke to Nguyet Lam (another great person) and suggested that I could help out.  So I'm hoping that they could find, for me, an opportunity to help.  I also spoke with Angelina Wentz Memon (wonderful person)and hope to read her book soon. Your cause is great and your members are courageous for what they have done and are doing.  You all deserve the best. Again, thanks for inviting us, I was extraordinarily moved by the warmth that your group had for us.  Thank you for giving us that feeling.”
